Donaldson Company, Inc., leading designer and manufacturer of hydraulic filters, announces the availability of a low pressure filter designed for use in “kidney loop” circuits, dedicated off-line circulation loops for hydraulic fluid conditioning applications such as large hydraulic reservoirs, paper machine lube oil systems, and plastic injection molding machines. Widely used in industrial applications, the kidney loop uses a separate circulation pump that runs continuously, circulating and conditioning the hydraulic fluid.
Donaldson’s kidney loop filter, model HFK08-0087 has flow range of 50 gpm (190 l/min), working pressures to 350 psi (2400 kPa), and burst pressure rated to 500 psi (3440 kPa.) The 31”-high unit has a 1¼” SAE o-ring port, as well as both visual and electric filter service indicators. The head is cast aluminum and the body is steel. The replaceable filter cartridge is made with SynteqÒ filter media, Donaldson’s proprietary synthetic filter media specially designed for liquid filtration. Media performance is ß2=75 (absolute.)
