FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HOW EFFECTIVE DOES YOUR DUST REMOVAL EQUIPMENT OPERATE?
Dust emission measurement as a service

Effective dust extraction and filtration protects both the employees in your company and the environment. For this reason it I now required by law that critical values for dust and pollutant concentrations are specified in the work place regulations of companies. The TA air specifies the critical values for the corresponding emissions, i.e. for the exhaust air of dust removal equipment.

The area-wide service team of Donaldson’s Industrial Filtration Solutions, IFS, has now been equipped with mobile emission measuring instruments, which permit a simple and exact on-site measurement of the dust concentration. Donaldson now offers these measurements as a service.

The first measurement takes place directly at the source where dust emerges. It records the dust load at the point of suction, i.e. the entrance emission, which can be matched with the MAK-values. The second measurement takes place at the exit of the dust removal unit which shows whether the critical values of the TA air have been adhered to. In each case the particles are measured as a unit of volume (mg/m³).

With these measurements the user can determine in a simple and economical way whether legal requirements as well as their responsibility towards employees and environment have been fulfilled. Apart from that a correlation of both measured values gives very accurate information about the efficiency of the dust removal equipment.

Donaldson IFS offers the new service "dust emission measurement" for all plants, irrespective of make. Did we arouse your interest? Then contact us.
