SURVEY REVEALS DONALDSON REPLACEMENT MUFFLERS ARE TOP CHOICE FOR OWNERS OF MEDIUM- AND HEAVY-DUTY VEHICLES
MINNEAPOLIS, May 12 – Donaldson Company Inc. today announced it has been recognized in a recent, third-party survey as the preferred supplier of replacement mufflers by medium- and heavy-duty truck owners. Conducted by leading independent research firm, MacKay & Company, the 2003 North American on-highway truck market study surveyed preferences for diesel engine replacement muffler brands and was distributed to Class 6 through Class 8 vehicle operators and maintenance staff.
According to the study, Donaldson mufflers are the leading choice for replacement on Class 8 trucks, acquiring 48 percent of the responses. Similarly, Donaldson replacement mufflers are the most-specified on Class 6 and Class 7 trucks, garnering 44 percent of the responses.

We've substantially expanded our product offerings for the exhaust and emissions market over the past few years, adding more than 250 parts to our catalog. Compared to the previous MacKay & Company survey released in 1999, Donaldson mufflers for Class 6 and Class 7 trucks gained a considerable percentage of market share, rising 28 percentage points.
