When large quantities of compressed air volume flows need to be processed, and purity is a requirement, then heat regenerated adsorption dryers are the right choice for this task. These dryers reliably reach pressure dew points of up to -70oC.
Donaldson now presents the different models of the externally heat regenerated adsorptions dryers with their essential features in a new brochure. As for example the cooling of the desiccant in the HRE models is conducted with partial flow of the already dried compressed air.
The models HRG and HRS both use desorption and cooling of ambient air as part of the processing. The HRS models additionally have the distinctive feature of vacuum cooling, during which energy saving is achieved. The HRS-L version has a closed-loop cycle (loop-version) and is independent of the ambient conditions. This version offers for all climate zones a pressure dew point of -70oC.
When it comes to the selection and designing of the optimal adsorption dryer the brochure does not replace the consulting of a Donaldson specialist, but it provides a first overview of the different models and their specific features. This brochure, which can obtained free of charge from Donaldson, is a good introduction to the topic „Heat Regenerated Adsorption Drying“.
