DONALDSON MEMBRANE’S FILTRATION MEDIA FORTIFIES THE CEMENT PROCESS AT TURKISH PLANT DENIZLI
The employment of Donaldson Membrane’s polyester filtration media has substantially increased production at one of Denizli Cement Plant’s mills in Turkey.
Donaldson’s #5102 Tetratex® Polyester Needlefelt Filter Media, from the Tetratex® Release range, has provided a low-cost, high performance solution to a production bottle neck at the mill.
Denizli is the 5th largest cement plant in Turkey, with an overall production capacity of around 1,815.000 t/year clinker and 2,500.000 t/year cement production – therefore the efficient operation of its mills is vital to maintain its position.
The production process uses an automated system comprising state-of-the-art technology, therefore only premium products can be incorporated to resolve emerging problems.
Following a careful evaluation of Denizli’s cement process and production system, Donaldson Membranes recommended the use of Tetratex Release #5102, a 100% polyester media employing the low-cost, high performance Release® ePTFE Membrane.
The Tetratex Release #5102 Polyester media is an essential part of the filtration process, providing increased flow rate, reduced pressure drop and compressed air consumption. Its excellent dust cake release properties mean that less frequent cleaning is required, and give near zero particle emissions. Additional benefits include extended bag life and decreased maintenance needs.
Following the successful installation of Tetratex Release #5102, the Denizli plant manager was pleased to report increased flow rate, decreased pressure drop and decreased cleaning pressure requirement, with no visible emissions – and no production bottleneck.
