FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DONALDSON MEMBRANES BAGS THE PORTUGUESE CEMENT MARKET WITH TETRATEX #6255 FILTRATION MEDIA
Donaldson Membranes, worldwide manufacturers and suppliers of expanded PTFE membranes, films and laminates, recommended Tetratex #6255, an ideal media for fabric filters employed on kiln dedusting applications.
The Cimpor-Portugal application involved installations equipped with AAF XLC Fabri-Pulse bag filters. The filter bags were manufactured in Tetratex #6255 Woven Glass fabric with Tetratex Ultra High Efficiency ePTFE membrane, suitable for continuous service at temperatures of up to 260oC.
The contract to supply Tetratex #6255 to AAF/Cimpor represents yet another coup for Donaldson Membranes.
AAF International is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of air filtration products and services including dust collection, offering efficient and cost-effective environmental solutions produced to rigid quality standards.
Cimpor-Portugal manufactures and markets: cement; lime; concrete aggregates; precast concrete and dry mortars with operations in Portugal; Spain; Morocco; Tunisia; Brazil; Mozambique; Egypt and South Africa.
The AAF bag filters at Cimpor-Portugal are employed to filter dust laden gases from the kilns and raw mills using an Off-line cleaning system. This highly effective bag cleaning system is designed to reduce pressure drop and compressed air consumption whilst extending bag life and decreasing maintenance needs.
Donaldson Membranes Tetratex #6255 is an essential part of this process, requiring lower pressure compressed air and less frequent cleaning due to its exceptional dust cake release properties, whilst giving near zero particle emissions.
Tetratex #6255 is just one of the many high performance products amongst the Donaldson Membranes range of Tetratex filtration medias, which are employed in a wide range of industrial applications including: cement; incineration; metallurgical; chemical; pharmaceutical; food; paint; and waste to energy plants.
