MEDICAL MATTERS - DONALDSON ADVANCED FILTRATION TAKES CARE OF FILTRATION AT COMPAMED 2008
19th-21st November, Dusseldorf, Germany

Donaldson Advanced Filtration is prepped and ready for the 2008 ComPaMed exhibition, with one of the most advanced portfolio of venting products in the industry ready for inspection on Stand no. J16, Hall 08b.

With over 20 years of experience in developing solutions for demanding medical applications, Donaldson Advanced Filtration Tetratex® ePTFE membranes, films and laminates are specifically designed to meet worldwide specifications for complete protection.

We are able to offer a wide selection of products: from ePTFE filter media to a completely customised vent for your medical application.

Tetratex ePTFE membrane is an extraordinarily hydrophobic breathable membrane, ideal for applications including: Wound Care; Ostomy Bags; Urine bags; Drainage Bags; Respiratory Applications; Medical Device Enclosures; Vent Caps; IV Spike Vents and Packaging Vents.

Bacterial-challenge and toxicity tested to USP 23, Class VI, Tetratex ePTFE membrane is available in a range of pore sizes from 0.05 to 7 microns and can be laminated to a variety of substrates. Tetratex ePTFE products are suitable for a range of health care applications with film thickness from 5 to 250 micron and are thermally and chemically stable, resulting in superior performance and comfort in almost any environment.

For the Health Care market, Tetratex material is a reliable and cost effective solution for many applications, such as:

Ostomy Applications – Donaldson vents provide the patient with total peace of mind and unrivalled performance. The hydrophobic and oleophobic characteristics of Tetratex ePTFE and the highly adsorbent properties of the product provide an excellent barrier to leakage, whilst allowing ventilation, breathability and controlling embarrassing odours to ensure the patient’s comfort.

Dialysis Applications – Tetratex ePTFE membrane provides an excellent barrier against contamination and encourages a fast response of hemodialysis equipment to venous pressure signals.

Wound Care - The soft, drapeable, ease of removal properties provided by Tetratex ePTFE membrane makes it suitable for a range of Wound Care applications. Tetratex ePTFE membrane is highly breathable while offering a substantial barrier to infection.

Martin Koch, Technical Sales Engineer says “Our complete range of Tetratex ePTFE membranes, films and laminates give the customer the possibility to choose a product optimally adapted for their venting or filtration application. Donaldson has the innovative technology and know-how in-house to deliver the most optimum product for your medical application.

Donaldson Advanced Filtration invites ComPaMED visitors to call at the stand, where

a team of experts will be available to discuss their specific application needs for optimum solutions.
